Manika Glenn, is the Executive Director of Q.U.E.E.N.S (Quickly Understanding Every Experience Navigates Success) 501©(3) approved, which is in honor of her late grandmother, Queen Esther Gipson.  Manika was born in Dallas, TX and has resided in Dallas County her entire life. She is a single mother of two daughters of the ages 14 and 12 years old.  Manika formerly held a position as a teacher in the Lancaster Independent School District from 2001 to 2007.  As a passion for children and adolescent development, she remained active in the school district as a volunteer and pursued her interest in mentoring and supporting young mothers.

She graduated from South Oak Cliff High School and continued her education in the field of education.  Manika obtained an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Development (Cedar Valley College); a Bachelor’s degree in Arts and Science in the School of Education (University of North Texas); a Master’s in General Education (University of Phoenix): and recently completed Master’s in Psychology (Capella University).

Manika's interest in helping and boarding teen mothers has been her motivation for her educational path.  She has a passion to empower young mothers and provide them with support to continue their education with as fewer stress factors as possible.  This organization's efforts is to construct and manage a loving, healthy, and safe home for mothers and their children as their pursuit to graduating continues.  In the program, the teen mothers will have access to resources for parenting, college options, workforce training, and job opportunity, and life-skills.

Her entire adult life, Manika has assisted with the children and youth department at Galilee Church of God In Christ.  During the course of time, she has even mentored young women that were in abusive relationships, had drug addictions, self-esteem problems, suicidal thoughts, and early parenthood.  Personally, Manika's belief is that with Q.U.E.E.N.S. foundation, a difference can be made with a group of young women to reduce the high school dropout rates, depression, family problems and child abuse by providing a supportive living space. Q.U.E.E.N.S will support, build and develop healthy children and successful adults.
